A visit to the Ørgreen Studio Academy

Ørgreen is an international eyewear brand from Copenhagen in Denmark. Known for its dynamic designs and technical precision, Ørgreen sculpts handmade frames with unique colour combinations that last a lifetime.

We were delighted to receive an invitation from the company to attend the Ørgreen Studio Academy - a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the brand and the people behind it whilst having a chance to immerse ourselves in Copenhagen life.

The course took place in the beautiful Ørgreen Studios, situated in the heart of the iconic Copenhagen area of Christianshavn. The workshops were led by the very people who deliver each stage in the design and production of Ørgreen frames. 

We learnt not just about precision and process, but about people and an ethos shaped by attention to detail, curiosity and a quiet passion for doing things well.

Over the course of two days, we worked alongside their design team, following their journey from the first sketch to the choice of colours and materials, all the way to the finished frame. We gained a deeper understanding of Japanese craftsmanship, where precision and philosophy shapes every Ørgreen titanium frame. We also delved into the production process and particularly enjoyed being able to see and touch the materials that make Ørgreen frames so distinctive.
