Ørgreen is an international eyewear brand from Copenhagen in Denmark. Known for its dynamic designs and technical precision, Ørgreen sculpts handmade frames with unique colour combinations that last a lifetime.

Just over twenty years ago, three friends from Copenhagen — Henrik Ørgreen, Gregers Fastrup and Sahra Lysell — set out to create their own eyewear brand, Ørgreen Optics. Their vision was simple yet ambitious: to design timeless frames for discerning, quality-conscious individuals worldwide. Since its founding in 1997, Ørgreen Optics has grown into an internationally recognized name, with its designs now available in more than fifty countries.

Today, the company is headquartered in the stunning Ørgreen Studios in the heart of Copenhagen, with a dedicated office in Berkeley, California, overseeing North American operations. Despite its global reach and continued growth, Ørgreen Optics remains true to its entrepreneurial spirit, driven by a team of passionate, determined individuals.

Ørgreen Studios – the brand’s in-house hub of boundless creativity – is where ideas come to life. Housed in a historic building in the heart of Copenhagen’s iconic Christianshavn district, Ørgreen Studios offers an inspiring environment that fuels continuous creativity.

Holding a pair of Ørgreen glasses is like holding a carefully composed work of art — every design decision, right down to the colour palette, has been thoughtfully considered. Led by in-house colourist Sahra Lysell, Ørgreen devotes significant energy to crafting distinctive colour stories inspired by art, design, architecture, and nature.

“I love colours in nature — how they affect us, how they energize and uplift us, and how their frequencies move us,” says Sahra Lysell, Ørgreen’s colourist.

Every Ørgreen product is crafted in Japan — a country renowned for its rich tradition of exceptional eyewear manufacturing and its uncompromising commitment to quality at every stage of production.
