We like to think of ourselves as no ordinary opticians. And the range of designer eyewear we stock reflects that ethos perfectly. Our store was founded in 1996 by Gail Steele and her then business partner, David Auerbach. It quickly gained a reputation for offering the coolest, most sought-after frames in London. In September 2019 we moved to larger premises a few doors further along the King’s Road.

Our new store offers a vast contemporary open space that is home to one of the UK’s most comprehensive and diverse selections of fine independent eyewear.

We buy from artisan makers who only design spectacle and sun spectacle frames. We do not sell mass produced frames that simply have a famous fashion logo stuck on them.

We like to think of eyewear as the ultimate accessory. What else alters your look or how you are perceived in an instant! Glasses are immediately apparent as they sit right in the centre of your face. We believe buying designer eyewear should be seen in the same way as buying shoes or handbags. In much the same way that we would choose different shoes depending on the occasion, we would suggest building an optical wardrobe.
