MANTI MANTI

MANTI MANTI is a sustainable children's eyewear brand based in Berlin, Germany. The company is named after the Mantis Shrimp, the creature with the best eyesight in the world. It has two independently moving eyes, can see 16 colours, and perceives both polarised and UV light.

MANTI MANTI was co-founded in late 2022 by Susann Hoffmann and Philippa Koenig. Susann, formerly the founder of German women's media platform Edition F, came up with the idea after struggling to find stylish, sustainable glasses for her son. Philippa brings a strong commercial background, having served as CCO at online lifestyle retailer Amorelie before co-founding MANTI MANTI.

MANTI MANTI’S frames are made from a castor oil-based plastic using a 3D printing process, fitted with extra-stable joints, comfortable nose pads and temple ends. Parts are produced, assembled and packaged in Germany, with some steps carried out by partners in southern Germany and shipped from Berlin.

Sustainability is a core company value. MANTI MANTI uses renewable raw materials without petroleum, ships climate-neutrally via DHL GoGreen, and avoids petroleum-based plastics in packaging wherever possible.
