Sabine Be

The Sabine Be brand was launched in March 2014 by French optician, Sabine Bégault-Vagner. This brand is all about being yourself, empowered by Sabine’s wonderful, avant-garde eyewear designs.

Sabine worked alongside her mother in the family opticians for twenty-five years, before finally realising her lifelong dream of designing her own collection. In late 2013, Sabine’s first six prototypes were ready but the French market was not particularly receptive to them.

Whilst visiting her son in Los Angeles, Sabine decided to showcase her collection to various optical stores in the city. A meeting with Julia Golgosha, the cult independent eyewear guru, proved fruitful: Julia placed an order and highly recommended Sabine’s eyewear to a further two stores who went on to place orders too.

Following on from her successful trip to the US, Sabine finally secured her first French order in the city of Chartres. The Sabine Be brand was officially launched and has since grown to span five continents. The company has further evolved with the launch of Sabine Be Life which includes a range of accessories including cases, chains, bracelets etc.

Sabine’s eyewear collections are hand-made in the most prestigious factories in France. High quality cellulose acetate is used which provides both versatility and transparency. Attention to detail at every stage is the priority for the skilled craftsmen employed. Hinges and temple ends, including the bold red circle which symbolizes the brand, are meticulously crafted with great precision.

Sabine Be frames are truly one-of-a-kind. Featuring an exciting combination of geometric shapes and bold colours, these statement frames have a devoted following amongst eyewear afficionados all over the world.

Sabine has rapidly become one of the most respected and innovative eyewear designers in the optical industry and has received several awards for her striking designs.
