Folc Eyewear

Folc Eyewear is an independent, design-led brand founded by product designer, Marta Llinarès, in 2016. Based in Barcelona, the company specialises in creating contemporary eyewear collections with a distinct style and personality.

The collections feature a combination of classic shapes, updated to contemporary silhouettes with thicker lines and chunkier profiles. Folc’s collections are handcrafted in a very special place in northern Italy, surrounded by vineyards and nature.

An extensive amount of time is dedicated to the design process, which includes an initial period of research and development to ensure the highest quality. The entire process, from initial concept to final production, takes between ten and twelve months.

The company focuses on launching small collections, with a limited number of models, to ensure the perfect balance between aesthetics and function is maintained. Folc works directly and very closely with four Italian manufacturers, jointly developing their collections of quality eyewear.

Frames are handcrafted, using the same traditional manufacturing processes which this particular area of Northern Italy is renowned for. The skilled craftspeople working at these Italian factories have a beautifully detailed and extensive knowledge of the eyewear-making process. Italy is also the source of the premium materials and components used in the collections.

These small, curated ranges are released in small batches, in order to avoid both overstocking and wasted materials. The company ensures their products are created using fair and ethical production methods, striving to be as local as possible.

We are delighted to stock this stylish and contemporary range of optical frames and sunglasses here in our Chelsea store. The collections have proved to be very popular amongst our customers and the brand has built a loyal following.
